Rabbits Health Care Plans now availalbe

Updated: Sep 16, 2022

We now have Pet Health Plans for rabbits and are recommended if you'd like to save money on vet bills. We have two specialist vets to ensure you get the best care for your bunny and they'll be in the best of hands whenever they visit us.

What is a Rabbit Health Plan?

We have covered all of the essentials for our Rabbit Preventative Health Plans, with you in mind. They will allow you to save money and spread the cost of your veterinary bills. The plans are suitable for rabbits of all ages, even if they have an existing health problem.

The plans are a way to deliver quality veterinary care for a low monthly cost. They work as a monthly direct debit payment and a 12-month contract applies.

What does it include?

Your rabbit’s yearly health check is covered when you sign up to a Health Plan. This thorough check up, with our vet, includes essential bunny vaccinations against myxomatosis and viral haemorrhagic disease.

This is a combined vaccine available that immunises your rabbit against myxomatosis and viral haemorrhagic disease. A single injection will provide immunity against both diseases.

Vet Vists

As well as the annual visit, for vaccination, your rabbit will be entitled to 1 additional free vet visit per year. This can be used at any time.

If this visit is used and your bunny needs an additional visit to our vets, you will receive an incredible 25% off ANY additional vet consultations.

Nurse Visits

As well as vet visits, you will be entitled to visit our nurse for FREE rabbit check ups. Our nurses are fully qualified and can help you with any advice you need, with regards to caring for your rabbit. As well as this, they can perform manicure/pedicures, weight checks and post surgical wound check ups, among other concerns.

Parasite Treatment

As part of your Rabbits Health Plan, they will receive internal parasite treatment to ensure they are fully covered against internal worms. This is a liquid oral wormer that is given bimonthly and every two months you will be able to collect it from reception.

Neutering

When it is time for your rabbit to be neutered, you will receive 10% off the cost.

The age of neutering depends on your individual rabbit. As a guideline, small breed ~4 months, larger breeds ~5 months. Please note though that male testicles descend from 10 weeks on so it is possible for them to impregnate a female from this time! They will be fully grown at around 9 months of age.

Additional Savings

You will receive an additional 20% savings off either one dental procedure annually OR course of external parasite treatment- whichever is required. We can advise you on which of these savings would best suit your rabbit.

Our Health Plans are the most convenient and money-saving way to ensure your rabbit gets the very best care.
